Beetroot Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 250g coconut milk
  • 50g of beetroot (grated)
  • 200g raspberries (frozen)
  • 1 tbsp. Lemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions:

Blend coconut milk and beetroot. Add raspberries, lemon juice and a pinch of salt. Add ice if desired, frozen raspberries will cool the drink anyways.
Pleasantly refreshing and vitamin rich drink is ready!

This amazing vibrant drink is full of useful components. Unlike a standard smoothie, it is without bananas, but it is still creamy and nutritious thanks to the coconut. The combination of raspberries and beets not only gives the perfect colour, but is also beneficial for the blood, containing a large amount of iron. In order for the body to absorb iron, it needs to be taken together with vitamin C - in this drink it is coconut milk.
