Don’t miss the “Snickers” recipe at the end of the blog! 🍫✨

Nut butter is one of those rare foods that manages to be deeply nourishing, incredibly satisfying, and endlessly versatile. When made properly — from real nuts, without additives — it’s not just a spread, it’s a functional food.

At Namu, we see nut butter as more than a product. It’s a way to support stable energy, hormonal balance, gut health, and yes — joy in eating.

Nut Butter: Small Spoon, Big Benefits

High-quality nut butter naturally contains a powerful combination of:

  • Healthy fats → support brain function, hormones, and long-lasting energy
  • Plant protein → helps with muscle repair and satiety
  • Dietary fiber → feeds the gut microbiome and supports digestion

This balance is exactly why nut butter keeps you full longer and helps prevent the energy crashes that often follow sugary snacks.

Nut Butter & Blood Sugar: A Smart Pairing

One of the most interesting findings in modern nutrition is how fats and fiber change the way we absorb carbohydrates.

Adding healthy fats and fiber to carbohydrate-rich foods helps:

  • lower glucose spikes
  • improve metabolic responses

That means:

  • Fruit + nut butter is better for blood sugar than fruit alone
  • Toast + nut butter keeps energy stable longer
  • Dates + nut butter = sweetness without the crash

This is one of the easiest ways to eat more intuitively — not by removing foods, but by combining them wisely.

30 Plants per Week — and Nut Butter’s Role

It is studed and confirmed now that 30 different plants per week supports a diverse and resilient gut microbiome.

Nut butter contributes beautifully to this goal:

  • Nuts and seeds count as distinct plant sources
  • When combined with fruit, spices, cacao, or seeds, you increase plant diversity effortlessly
  • Even a single snack can include 3–5 plant foods

Nut butter isn’t just food — it’s a plant diversity multiplier.

Taste Matters (A Lot)

Let’s be honest: no one sticks to healthy eating if it doesn’t taste good.

Nut butter is:

  • Naturally rich and comforting
  • Perfect for both sweet and savory dishes

When food tastes good, consistency becomes easy — and that’s where real health benefits come from.

Nut Butter, the Namu Way

At Namu, we keep things radically simple and intentional.

We produce six nut butter variations:

  1. Peanut
  2. Almond (from Georgian almonds)
  3. Chocolate Hazelnut (with Georgian hazelnuts and raw cacao)
  4. Cashew
  5. Tahini (sesame paste)
  6. Coconut

What’s inside?

✔️ Only real nuts and seeds
✔️ No additives
✔️ No refined sugar
✔️ No fillers or stabilizers

Our process:

We buy the nuts → toast them gently → clean them by hand → blend slowly and add carefully chosen superfoods, such as:

  • Turmeric
  • Cinnamon
  • Ashwagandha
  • Reishi
  • Raw cacao
  • Himalayan salt

Everything is made by hand, in small batches, to preserve flavour, texture, and nutritional value.

Recipe: 4-Ingredient Healthy Snickers

I am sharing my all time favourite snickers recipe that proves healthy can also be indulgent.

Ingredients:

  • Pitted dates

How to make:

  1. Smash pitted dates into the bottom of a mold
  2. Spread a generous layer of Namu peanut butter on top
  3. Add toasted peanuts
  4. Cover with melted dark chocolate
  5. Sprinkle salt flakes if using
  6. Let it set — and enjoy every bite

Why it works:

This treat is packed with:

  • Fiber
  • Healthy fats
  • Plant protein

Supporting:

  • Sustained energy
  • Hormonal balance
  • A well-fed microbiome

And most importantly — pleasure.
