Cloves aren’t just a spice—they’re an Ayurvedic powerhouse. Warming, aromatic, and full of benefits, they’ve been used for centuries to balance doshas, support digestion, and strengthen immunity.

As I have predominantlly vata imbalance, lately, I’ve been infusing cloves in water overnight and drinking it first thing in the morning. It’s become my favourite winter ritual—gentle, warming, and incredibly refreshing. Also, I add pinch of grounded cloves, cardamon and cinnamon in my Turkish coffee and brew together.

Below I will explain why I became obsessed with cloves and why I try to incorporate it with anything.

🔥 Cloves Balance Your Doshas
In Ayurveda, cloves are heating (Ushna) and excellent for:
Kapha dosha - Reduces sluggishness, congestion, and lethargy
Vata dosha - Warms the body, eases bloating, and supports digestion

🌿 Digestive Hero
Cloves stimulate digestive fire (Agni) and help your body absorb nutrients efficiently.
• Reduces bloating & gas
• Supports nutrient absorption

💪 Immunity & Inflammation Support
Cloves contain eugenol, a natural anti-inflammatory compound. Regular use can help:
• Reduce inflammation
• Strengthen immunity
• Support joint health

Winter Favourite: Cloves are perfect for the colder months, keeping the body warm and balanced.

🍵 How to Use Cloves Daily
There are endless ways to add more cloves in your life, below I will list just few of my favourites:
Clove Water: 10 cloves infused overnight, drink on an empty stomach
Tea: Add 2-3 cloves in your favourite tea
Coffee: Add pinch of grinded cloves with cinnamon and cardamom to your coffee brew
Cooking: Sprinkle in curries, stews, or baked goods

🌟 Why Cloves Matter
Cloves may be tiny, but they’re mighty:
✅ Boost digestion
✅ Balance the doshas
✅ Strengthen immunity
✅ Add warmth and flavour to meals and drinks

Remember: Incorporating cloves into your daily routine — tea, coffee, cooking, or infused water — is a simple, powerful way to nourish your body and mind naturally, especially in upcoming winter months.
